Termina is how global brands manage their energy accounts and assets in one place. We help businesses save money on energy while reducing admin and emissions.

  • Energy Marketplace: We help businesses find below market prices on their energy and streamline the switching and billing process while helping energy retailers reach more customers. Our goal is to become a one-stop shop for energy retailers to offer their products. 
  • Business Intelligence and Modelling Tools: Our reporting tools help businesses track everything from cost and emissions across energy assets, to the highest ROI energy upgrade across a business.

Termina is looking for a hands-on Finance Operations Manager to scale our finance function. You’ll own the systems, processes, and workflows that power Termina’s financial engine - from AR/AP automation to data pipelines and reporting. Working at the intersection of finance, engineering, and product, you’ll drive operational efficiency, implement scalable solutions, and ensure our financial operations can support rapid growth. This is a role for someone who thinks in systems, loves automating manual work, and wants to build finance infrastructure from the ground up.

What You'll Own

  • AR/AP & Process Automation
  • Own end-to-end AR/AP, revenue allocation, and payout workflows. Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase throughput, reduce manual effort, and minimise errors. Build dashboards and alerts for real-time visibility.
  • Systems & Technology Implementation
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage finance tools and systems. Partner with engineering to build integrations, automate data flows, and migrate from spreadsheets to scalable solutions. Own the finance tech stack roadmap.
  • Operational Reporting & Analytics
  • Design and maintain operational KPIs, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure. Own month-end close processes and ensure data accuracy across financial systems. Enable self-serve access to financial data for the broader team.
  • Financial Planning & Operational Forecasting
  • Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and capacity models. Partner with founders and operations to track unit economics, identify operational bottlenecks, and surface actionable insights.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance team members as we scale. Coordinate with offshore or contract resources to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across finance functions.

  • Builder & Automator: You have a strong bias to action and default to building scalable solutions over one-off fixes. You’re energised by automating manual processes and can’t help but think “how could this be systematised?”
  • Systems Thinker: You see the big picture while getting into the weeds. You naturally map out end-to-end processes, identify failure points, and design solutions that work at scale.
  • Technically Curious: You’re comfortable in spreadsheets, curious about APIs and integrations, and excited to learn new tools. You can partner effectively with engineers and aren’t afraid to write a basic script or build a workflow in no-code tools.
  • Clear Communicator: You communicate clearly, cut through ambiguity, and work effectively across different teams and personalities.

You might be someone with experience across these functions, or someone earlier in your career with the confidence to take a career-defining step into a role with high autonomy and high speed of execution.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a high-performance finance, operations, consulting, or investment role with demonstrated impact and progression.
  • Experience with finance tools and systems (e.g., Xero, accounting software, payment platforms, or CRM integrations) is a plus.
  • Startup/high growth experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in and navigating regulatory challenges is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, APIs, or no-code automation tools (e.g., Make, Zapier) is a plus.
