As a Senior AWS Solution Architect at Fujitsu, you will play a pivotal role in shaping secure, scalable, and innovative cloud solutions that directly align with our client's business goals. You will lead both pre-sales and delivery engagements, provide trusted technical leadership and embed governance at every stage. Your expertise will help drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code and DevOps best practices, while your guidance and mentorship will empower team members to grow their technical capabilities and deliver exceptional outcomes. You will champion the creation and reuse of proven design patterns and reference architectures, ensuring solutions meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Working closely with Fujitsus global Managed Services Provider framework and AWS Centres of Excellence, you will bring world-class capabilities to Australian organisations. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an architect ready to influence cloud transformation at scale. Responsibilities And Accountabilities The Senior AWS Solution Architect is responsible for:
- Architect and design secure, scalable AWS solutions that meet business, technical, and regulatory requirements across medium to large-scale customer environments
- Lead architectural engagement in both pre-sales and delivery contexts, collaborating with sales, delivery, and partner teams to shape winning, feasible solutions
- Embed architectural governance across projects, ensuring alignment with AWS Well-Architected principles, Fujitsus Cloud Service for AWS offerings, and customer expectations
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, automation, and modern delivery pipelines to increase quality and delivery velocity
- Support the development of reusable artefacts and reference architectures that accelerate future engagements and uplift team capability
- Act as a key technical contact across global Fujitsu teams, including Centres of Excellence (CoEs), Global Delivery Centres (GDCs), and Regional Delivery Centres (RDCs), to support scalable, high-quality delivery
- Drive alignment between Fujitsus Oceania delivery methods and global AWS MSP standards, ensuring consistent engineering, security, and operations practices
- Mentor and support less experienced architects and engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the AWS team
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of industry-specific AWS roadmaps, guiding both internal strategy and customer adoption journeys
- Engage in thought leadership, participating in whitepapers, blogs, or technical presentations to support market positioning and brand credibility
- Awareness and adherence to Fujitsus service delivery processes and methods.
- Technology leadership, awareness of industry and technology trends specifically in AWS as well as Fujitsus broad range of products and services.
- Domestic travel may be required.
Requirements
- 5+ years in AWS architecture and solution design.
- 10+ years in IT including leadership in cloud and integration domains.
- Expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
- AWS Professional or Specialty certification (required).
- Strong pre-sales, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with hybrid/multi-cloud and formal architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF).
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Current or re-instatable AGSVA Baseline Security clearance is preferred or willingness to gain AGSVA Security Clearance
- Self-motivated, able to manage workload and prioritise effectively in dynamic environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to design and decision-making
