We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Compensation Analyst to support the evaluation and management of our organisation’s remuneration framework. This role contributes directly to ensuring that pay programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with organisational strategy.
The successful candidate will assist with market benchmarking, compensation modelling, job analysis activities, and the preparation of insights that guide HR and leadership decision-making. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy analytical work and want to develop deeper capability in compensation and workforce analytics.
Hourly RateAUD $38–$40 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct external market research to benchmark salary and reward practices
• Analyse internal compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement areas
• Support the development and maintenance of salary ranges and job classification structures
• Prepare compensation reports, costing scenarios, and analytical summaries
• Contribute to annual salary review processes and remuneration audits
• Maintain accurate and confidential compensation records
• Provide analytical support for workforce planning and HR initiatives
Skills & Requirements
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with confidence working through datasets
• High attention to detail and strong accuracy in data handling
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar analytical tools
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and professionally
• Understanding of compensation frameworks or HR operations is an advantage
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
• Strong organisational and time-management capabilities
