**About the opportunity** 

Help shape how WorkSafe Victoria engages with the Victorian health system and contribute to improved outcomes for injured workers. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team within the Health & Recovery Division and play a key role in strengthening relationships across the healthcare sector. Working with healthcare providers, hospitals, peak bodies, government organisations and other key stakeholders, you will contribute to initiatives that improve experiences and outcomes for injured workers and the Victorian community. 

Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Engagement, you will contribute to the delivery of WorkSafe's stakeholder engagement strategy by building trusted relationships, coordinating engagement activities and ensuring communication is timely, consistent and aligned with organisational priorities. 

As a key point of contact, you will work closely with external stakeholders and internal teams to gather insights, contribute to change initiatives and help address emerging issues and enquiries. Through your work, you will strengthen collaboration, inform decision-making and support a coordinated approach to engagement across the health sector. 

**Key accountabilities** 

• Act as the primary point of contact for allocated stakeholder groups, responding to enquiries, facilitating connections and coordinating support across internal teams.  • Build and maintain productive relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, peak bodies and other organisations across the health and disability sectors.  • Plan and deliver workshops, forums and consultations, ensuring insights and outcomes are captured and translated into action.  • Gather, analyse and synthesise feedback to inform service improvements, policy development and strategic priorities.  • Prepare clear, targeted and audience-appropriate communications, briefing materials and supporting resources.  • Draft and coordinate responses to enquiries, complaints and executive or ministerial requests, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery.  • Contribute to communication and change readiness activities that support the successful implementation of organisational initiatives.  • Collaborate with internal teams to align priorities, manage risks and ensure consistent messaging across stakeholder groups.  • Support the continuous improvement of engagement frameworks, tools and practices to strengthen capability across the division.

• Experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management or community liaison within complex organisational, government, health or other public-facing environments.  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building credibility, establishing trust and positively influencing others.  • Experience planning, coordinating and delivering engagement activities, workshops, forums or consultations.  • Well-developed writing skills, including preparing formal correspondence, briefings and communications for a range of audiences.  • Experience managing enquiries, correspondence workflows and escalation processes within a complex environment.  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information, identify themes and recommend improvements.  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes within competing timeframes.  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, public policy, health, business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.  • Experience in health, insurance, regulatory or public sector environments will be highly regarded.

**What You Will Achieve** Reporting to the ISAID (Improving Support for Autism and Intellectual Disability) Clinical Lead, this role works with the broader BOC project team to support clinical staff across the hospital to adopt BOC optimisation practices. The role provides education, training, supervision, mentorship, consultation, and capacity building to embed the identification of BOCs, and application of behaviour support strategies using the BSP tool, into routine clinical practice. The position supports the delivery of evidence-based, trauma-informed education initiatives that enhance staff confidence, clinical capability and patient-centred care. As a member of the BOC project team, the Clinical Educator will contribute to this key project by liaising with nursing/allied health/medical/psychology education and interprofessional learning teams to support staff to confidently apply trauma-informed approaches to address BOCs in routine practice. **Role Context** Launched in 2021, the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Campus Mental Health Strategy coordinated a comprehensive program of integrated, evidence-based approaches to mental health research, education, and care. The RCH Campus Mental Health Strategy is in its final stage of delivery. Children and adolescents who present with behaviours of concern (BOC), and children and adolescents who are neurodivergent can experience preventable distress, fear, and trauma during healthcare encounters because hospital systems, environments, and models of care do not consistently anticipate, recognise, and respond to their individual developmental, emotional, sensory, communication, behavioural, and psychosocial needs. This can compromise the care experience, contribute to avoidable behaviour escalation, and negatively impact health outcomes, future engagement with healthcare, and the wellbeing of patients, families, and staff. This project aims to improve patient and family experiences by enabling early identification and documentation of behavioural support needs in relevant children and adolescents presenting with BOC, and children and adolescents who are neurodivergent, within the EMR, enabling proactive care planning, tailored coping strategies, and trauma-informed approaches. The Behaviour Support Profile (BSP) Tool in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system documents and addresses the emotional needs of patients, including communication preferences, sensory sensitivities, and distress coping strategies. The BSP helps staff tailor care to each patient, reducing distress and enhancing their sense of safety and wellbeing whilst receiving medical care. The Strategy’s final phase of work will deliver sustainable reform by building staff capability and embedding behaviour support resources within the EMR, as part of a comprehensive approach comprising fit-for-purpose digital infrastructure, people-centred workflow redesign, clinical leadership, workforce enablement and culture change. **EssentialYour skills and experience:**

*   Tertiary Qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline
*   Current registration with the relevant professional registration body as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist, or eligibility for membership/accreditation as a Social Worker or Speech Pathologist, as applicable to the discipline

**Desirable**

*   Postgraduate clinical mental health experience
*   Additional formal training in trauma-informed assessment and management
*   Demonstrated experience in teaching and supervision of multi-disciplinary clinical staff
*   Demonstrated effectiveness in working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams

*   Hold a degree in Social Work from an accredited course/university

**About the role**  

The Booking Officer provides operational support and services to schedule Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) for injured workers in accordance with relevant legislation, while actively managing the expectations of insurance agents and medical practitioners.

**Key accountabilities:**  

*   Identify the providers that best match booking requests in accordance with defined business guidelines.
*   Actively contribute to continual improvement in the system and processes.
*   Ensure effective and efficient customer service is provided to all key stakeholders.
*   Review inbound booking requests to ensure the utilisation of appointments in a timely manner.
*   Ensure all bookings are made in line with Service Level Agreements.
